Introducing QWO™ injectable cellulite treatment in Brooklyn, NY

QWO™ injectable cellulite treatment in Brooklyn, NY

We are excited to introduce the first and only FDA-approved injectable cellulite treatment of its kind to Art of Natural Beauty patients. QWO™ treatment is available at the Brooklyn, NY office to permanently treat moderate to severe cellulite.

Cellulite is a common complaint among women; more than 90% have characteristic dimpling. Commonly, cellulite develops due to the fibrous septae, which provide structure to the skin as this supportive tissue hardens, dimples, or a “cottage cheese” appearance and texture surfaces.

Note: There are different types of cellulite, just as there are different types of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or different types of acne. The treatment plan that is best for you accounts for factors such as the type of cellulite present; for instance, these uneven surfaces may be soft to the touch or “solid” and firm. So, care is taken to expertly assess your skin and determine if there is laxity present.

How QWO™ works

While the exact mechanism responsible for effectively treating cellulite is not known, QWO™ generally destroys the fibrous septae that cause that indented orange-peel-like surface. It contains specific enzymes that degrade old particles of firm collagen. These enzymes also promote the development of new collagen! This process supports smoother skin for good. QWO™ was designed for women with “Grade 2” and “Grade 3” cellulite in mind.

Cellulite grades

Grade “0” – No dimpling

Grade “1” – Cellulite is not visible to the eye. It can be seen microscopically.

Grade “2” – Early (common) form of dimpling, noticeable to the naked eye.

Grade “3” – Stubborn, severe cellulite.

With severe dimpling, we must determine if laxity (loose skin) is also present. QWO™ is designed to eliminate cellulite among patients with otherwise firm, not saggy skin. If laxity is also a problem, we are happy to discuss options to tighten the skin.
